Update (part one)

EDIT: I posted some pictures on http://sammieburksphotography.blogspot.com/ if you are interested just pop on over after you finish reading this blog.

Wow, has it really been that long since I've updated this blog? BAD BAD BAD Sammie! In my defense, we have been really busy with visitors! (YEAH).

Let's see if I can fill everyone in on the happenings of the past few months.

On May 30, I got to go to Paris for an all night photo shoot (by myself with no kids). It was awesome. I went with a Flickr group from here in London. Paris at night is something everyone should see. The city never sleeps - REALLY. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

In June we took the kids back to Brighton Beach. I actually let the kids play in the water this time even though it was only 70 degrees. After being here for over a year, 70 degrees does feel warm. We celebrated Reds birthday at the end of the month with a trip to Hamleys (a 7 story toy store here in London) with it's own Build-a-bear inside. It is an all day affair to make it to all levels.

In July, We had two rounds of visitors. First came Grandpa and Nana Burks, Great Nana, and Uncles: Ross, Jerimiah, and Kaleb. The kids were almost giddy to see family. We made all the sites - Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the changing of the guard, St. James Park, Westminster Abbey (I highly recommend this), the London Eye, Tower of London, St. Pauls Cathedral (Recommend this too - but you have to climb to the top with over 400 steps up). We did a day tour and saw Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath. Cael really enjoyed having his Uncles here and so did the girls. Our time went by way to quickly. We miss you guys!

Stay tuned for the second half of the story... MORE PICTURES THIS WEEK - I promise!

These first pictures are from Paris. The next set is from Brighton Beach. The last set is from Epping Forest.
