As promised!!!

Here are some pictures that in no particular order. Most I had intended to post right after they were taken but I never got around to putting them on the blog. They are not the greatest pictures but I like them. Some should probably be in the recycle bin but they are priceless to me. The first one describes or budget here in London!

Random Pictures

Today I will be posting a lot of random stuff from the past two months. Check back often cause I'll be posting all day ;)

This first picture is from our trip to Leeds Castle in Kent. Aren't they cute ;) Believe it or not, they will be Black Swans when they grow up!

Saturday

We had a pretty productive weekend. On Saturday we decided to head back to Kensinton to go to the Whole Foods Market and to Kensington Gardens to the Princess Diana Children's Park. I was on a mission to find Monterrey Jack cheese. Yeah, I found some there! This store is awesome! I will be visiting quite regularly! The kids really enjoyed the park. Little Man ran his little legs off! They played non-stop for almost 2 hours. He fell asleep on the tube ride home. Yesterday we worked on the garage. We compressed all of the furniture from inside the house and made plenty of room for a DRYER!!!
I realize I forgot to include a picture of Leeds Castle with last weeks post. I have some more I haven't edited yet. I will post them later. The pictures of the kids are from Saturday at the park! I will post more of them too!

One more for today

Wow... lots of posting today! I added lots of pictures of the kids - check them all out :)

Little Man

Some of you have said that there aren't enough pictures of Little Man... Here you go! (He's just too busy to stand still and let Mommy take pictures of him.)

Walking shoes

We had our walking shoes on all this weekend! We visited the Museum of Natural History (awesome museum) for 5 hours and still didn't see everything. We decided to walk around Kensington while we were there and came across the Royal Albert Music Hall and across the street, Kensington Garden. We then discovered that that leads right into Hyde Park. Sunday we hopped on board the National Railway and took our trip out of the city. We went to Leeds Castle near Maidstone. It was amazing! We managed to get really lost in a maze for about 30 minutes (frustrating and fun). Little Man really enjoyed the kiddie park and the girls LOVED the big kids park. We managed to have sunshine, rain, sunshine, sleet, and sunshine - ALL IN ONE DAY! We are seeing a trend here because the exact same thing happened to us on Saturday except we had HAIL with no unbrellas (going through a butterfly exhibit outside where the stroller wasn't allowed ... the unbrellas were in the stroller). We got pelted and drenched. But after a while you tend to forget about the wet weather and just enjoy the sunshine while you have it!!!

Trying something new/Birthday Wishes

The first photo of me and S. is one of my favorite photos!!! We were riding the teacups! I know that it's not technically any good but I love it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!! Hope you had a wonderful birthday! The girls wanted to wish you a happy birthday but Drew hung up before they could sing to you.

Time Change and Vocabulary lesson

Just to let everyone know, we have finally sprung forward. We are now 6 hours ahead of all our friends and family in the middle of America aka (central time zone). So if you decide to call, be sure to add 6 hours to your time. I really was enjoying the 5 hour difference. Could some of you move to New York so I can call you an hour earlier in the morning??? Just kidding! For those of you we haven't been talking to - please set up Skype!!! It really is awesome (and free).

Here are some new British vocabulary words that I (we) have come across so far:

plasters = band aids the song "I am stuck on plasters cause plasters stuck on me"
courgettes = squash
boot = trunk of car
bonnet = hood of car
groundnut oil = peanut oil
loo = toilet = bathroom (toilet sounds rude to me- "Where is your toilet")
pants = underware So when it's raining outside and you say my pants are wet you get really strange looks
trousers = pants (our word for pants)
nappies = diapers
tea (white) = tea with milk
tea (black) = no milk
chemist = pharmacy
surgery = doctor's office
washing up liquid = dish soap
zebra crossing = crosswalk
Leerdammer cheese = as close to swiss cheese as we can find!

I will post more as I come across them.
